Overview

Typing Speed is a fast-paced arcade game where words fall from the top of the screen and you must type them before they reach the bottom. As your score increases, words fall faster and spawn more frequently. The game tests both your typing speed and accuracy under pressure.

How to Play

1. Words appear at the top of the screen and fall downward.
2. Type a word exactly to destroy it before it reaches the danger zone.
3. You automatically lock onto the first word that matches what you're typing.
4. Press Backspace to correct mistakes or Escape to clear your current input.
5. You have 5 lives — each word that reaches the bottom costs one life.
6. The game ends when all lives are lost.

Rules

• Words must be typed exactly (case-insensitive).
• Only one word can be targeted at a time.
• Speed increases as your score grows — both fall speed and spawn rate.
• You start with 5 lives.

Strategy Tips

• Touch type: Keep your fingers on the home row and don't look at the keyboard.
• Prioritize low words: Focus on words closest to the danger zone first.
• Type short words first: Quick eliminations keep the screen clear.
• Stay calm: Panicking leads to typos which waste time.
• Use peripheral vision: Watch for new words appearing while finishing your current one.

Difficulty Levels

The game has a single mode with dynamically increasing difficulty. Words fall faster and spawn more frequently as your score grows. Early game is relaxed; by score 20+ it becomes intense. Your high score is saved locally and to the leaderboard.
