🧠Memory Guide
Overview
Memory, also known as Concentration, is a classic card-matching game that tests your short-term memory and spatial recall. Cards are laid face-down on a grid, and you flip two at a time trying to find matching pairs. The goal is to match all pairs in as few moves as possible.
How to Play
- Click any face-down card to flip it over and reveal its symbol.
- Click a second card to flip it. If the two cards match, they stay face-up and you score a pair.
- If they don't match, both cards flip back face-down after a brief pause.
- Continue until all pairs are found.
- Your score is the total number of moves (flips of two cards) — lower is better.
Rules
- You may only flip two cards per turn.
- Matched pairs remain face-up permanently.
- The game ends when all pairs are found.
- Three difficulty levels control the grid size: Easy (8 pairs), Medium (12 pairs), Hard (16 pairs).
Strategy Tips
- Scan systematically: Work through the grid in a pattern rather than clicking randomly.
- Remember positions: When you flip a card that doesn't match, memorize its position for later.
- Use the first flip wisely: Flip an unknown card first, then try to recall if you've seen its match.
- Start from edges: Corner and edge cards are easier to remember spatially.
- Group by area: Keep mental notes of which symbols are in which region of the grid.
Difficulty Levels
- Easy: 4×4 grid with 8 pairs — great for warming up.
- Medium: 4×6 grid with 12 pairs — the standard challenge.
- Hard: 4×8 grid with 16 pairs — a true test of memory.
